Mo Tooker is head of Enterprise Sales & Distribution, Global Specialty, and Middle & Large Commercial, where he oversees product, underwriting, operations, sales and marketing for midsize and larger businesses, associations and organizations globally.Global Specialty has more than 130 unique specialty products, both on an admitted and non-admitted basis. Core lines of business include financial lines, professional liability, excess & surplus (E&S) property and casualty, environmental, surety, ocean marine, livestock, and credit & political risk. Global Specialty also has a dedicated international team based in London, England and operates Lloyds Syndicate 1221.
Middle & Large Commercial's core offerings include property, general liability, workers' compensation, auto, umbrella and excess and inland marine protection, as well as specialty coverages for target industry segments, including technology, life sciences, construction, energy, multinational, captives, national accounts and media, arts and entertainment.
Tooker is a property and casualty industry veteran with more than two decades of insurance and reinsurance experience. Prior to joining The Hartford in 2015, he served as president of General Reinsurance Corporation, where he was responsible for the company's global P&C reinsurance business and garnered 12 years of international experience working from the United Kingdom.
Tooker is on the Connecticut and Rhode Island Chapter Board of the Red Cross as well as the Earthplace Board of Trustees. He received his bachelor's degree from Middlebury College and lives in Westport, CT with his wife and three children.
